Assitej Italia

ASSITEJ is a worldwide association that brings together hundreds of theatres and other artistic and cultural organisations through more than 80 National centres. Since 1965, ASSITEJ connects artists and companies professionally active in the field of theatre for young audiences, and strives to promote quality and cultural significance of theatre for children and young people.

ASSITEJ Italia, the Italian section of the worldwide association, was (re)founded at the beginning of 2014, taking up the legacy of ATIG – the Italian Association of Theatre for Children and Young People, founded in 1967 – and willing to develop its aims and commitment to theatre and artistic creation for children, young people and families through new national and international projects.
